Description
Longleaf pine straw is what we opened with in 2010, and it’s still the fastest way to make beds look finished. It knits together as it settles, holds on a slope better than mulch, and gives beds and borders a clean, natural look.
- Fresh longleaf straw in bales and rolls
- Bales are the grab-and-go for beds and borders; rolls cover a stretch fast and work well on a slope
- Knits together as it settles and helps hold down weeds
- Pull the flakes apart and shake them loose — fluffed straw covers more ground and looks more natural
One longleaf bale spread about 3 inches deep covers roughly 50–70 square feet; use 60 as your middle number, then round up to the next whole bale. Tell us your bed measurements and we’ll do the math with you.
