What We Carry

Choose your size at checkout — by the quarter, half, or full yard.

Which stone or gravel do you need?

The right pick mostly comes down to the job:

01

#57 stone is larger and angular, so it locks together and drains well — the go-to for driveways, drainage beds, French drains, and concrete base.

02

#89 pea gravel is small, rounded, and comfortable underfoot — great for walkways, patios, decorative beds, and play areas.

03

Crush-run (granite) packs down hard, which makes it the base layer under driveways and pavers.

04

Granite screenings are fine and level out smooth — a leveling layer under pavers and stepping stones.

05

Riprap is big, heavy rock for holding ground in place on slopes, ditches, and shorelines.

Building a gravel driveway? A common combo is crush-run for a packed base with #57 stone on top. Tell us the project and we'll match you to the right stone.

How much do I need? (a worked example)

How would you like to enter your area?
Most beds take 2–3 inches

Scooped stone and gravel go 2–3 inches deep for most walkways and top layers, and deeper for a driveway base. To figure yards: area in sq ft × depth in inches ÷ 12 ÷ 27. So a 10×20 ft area (200 sq ft) at 3 inches deep works out to 200 × 3 ÷ 12 ÷ 27 ≈ 2 yards. Send us your length, width, and depth and we'll run the numbers with you.

Laying it down (a few tips)

A little groundwork keeps stone looking neat and staying put:

01 Put down landscape fabric under decorative stone and gravel. It blocks weeds and keeps the stone from sinking into the dirt over time.
02 Add edging along walkways and beds so the stone stays where you spread it.
03 Spread 2–3 inches deep for walkways and top layers; go deeper for a driveway base, and pack crush-run down in layers so it firms up.
04 Rake it level once it's down for an even, finished look.

Won't need much upkeep

Stone doesn't break down the way mulch does, so you won't be replacing it every year. Every so often, rake it back into place and add a scoop where it's thinned out or scattered — near the end of a driveway or the edge of a path. Call us at (803) 715-0387 when you need a top-off and we'll get you a fresh scoop.
