Description
Centipede is the low-input choice. It’s happy in the acidic soils common around Lexington and content without much feeding, so it’s the grass to pick if you’d rather not fuss over a lawn.
- Best for sandy or acidic soils and low-maintenance lawns
- Needs less feeding than most warm-season grasses
- Slower growing, so there’s less mowing through the season
- Buy by the square foot (cut to order), the roll, the half pallet, or the pallet
Measure length × width in feet for each area and add about 5% for trimming around curves and beds. Cut fresh to order, so plan at least 48 hours ahead.
